Personally, I think Yahoo and Gmail are the two major email services in the US. I think MSN used to be Hotmail, but I'm not sure what it's called now; maybe Outlook? Anyway, I assume most of the readers of this article are from South Korea. For those readers, the name 'Yahoo' might make them wonder if it still exists.
Of course, I remember when Yahoo Korea existed. Back then, visiting Yahoo in other countries was a fun thing to do, but I don't know the situation now except for Japan and the US. Anyway, since I live in the US, I easily access Yahoo and somehow ended up creating an email account, which I've been using for over a decade.
Yahoo Mail's biggest advantage is its customizable features. The image above is a screenshot of the mail viewing settings. I'm not sure how to explain it, but in this state, as shown in the example, you can check the mail list and mail content at once.
Another advantage is that it can import emails from other services. As you can see above, I use Yahoo Mail along with Gmail. According to the number displayed at the top, it seems that up to 50 email accounts can be added. This allows you to send, delete, and perform almost all email tasks from within the Yahoo inbox without having to separately access Gmail.com.
In addition, Yahoo.com offers news articles categorized into various sections. It's like Daum or Naver in Korea (Korean portal sites). From what I've seen, Americans are more likely to use Yahoo than Koreans, and among Koreans, those who have adapted and settled into American culture tend to use Yahoo more. Of course, this could be a prejudice. Anyway, when news about incidents, accidents, political issues, or celebrity gossip appears on Yahoo News, it's common for thousands of comments to be posted in a short time. The usage rate of Yahoo among Americans is beyond our imagination. That's why I don't think it will disappear easily. Personally, I wish it had a blog feature; that's my biggest regret.
