Today is Thanksgiving in the U.S.! It's not a fixed date, but it's celebrated on the fourth Thursday. So I slept in and spent a relaxing and warm day at home all day.
But when I checked the shorts I uploaded on Monday morning, there was a comment. It was hidden, so I chose 'Most Recent', and it turned out to be a malicious comment.
I don't particularly want to reveal the content. But this is something that anyone could be offended by, and judging by the criticism that it was scamming the pastor, it seemed like someone who was usually full of dissatisfaction with Christianity.
The immediate thought was, 'I should tell the pastor,' but I dropped the thought after two or three seconds. It was a good holiday today, and I didn't want to upset the pastor. And I vowed not to tell him even after a few days, a week, or more. Someone or the pastor will find it later.
If it were my old self, I might have told the pastor or the pastor's wife without thinking. But as I meditated on this situation while praying, a great realization came to me that if you are a true believer and a servant of God, you will inevitably face hardship and persecution in spreading the gospel.
Moreover, I was reminded of the Bible verse that the hardships we suffer are nothing compared to the glory to come. And further, I thought that it was really nothing compared to the insults and hurtful words that the Lord suffered during his lifetime. Then peace came to my heart.
Anyway, as I said before, comments are not easily seen unless you go through a step. Moreover, when I entered the YouTube Studio in the church account mode and looked at the shorts list, there was a number 1, but no comments appeared even if I clicked on the 1. I guess it was filtered out by YouTube because it contained some profanity, but it's not certain.
No one can perfectly keep God's word. We are all imperfect and weak beings. But only the power of the Lord Jesus Christ makes us born again as new people and also provides the strength to overcome and endure the world.
Therefore, if you are a Christian believer, you must have 'living hope.' Although it is not immediately visible to the naked eye, we are fighting a spiritual war every day. Through this trivial event of today, I was able to block the attack of Satan in a slightly more mature way than before. So it is a very grateful and meaningful Thanksgiving of 2025.
