Half a day at the hospital, and the other half wrestling with customer service on the phone; the whole day was gone.

Although I couldn't work on YouTube videos or study CS50, I did manage to stick to the truly essential tasks for the day. After morning Bible study and sharing my reflection notes, I even had to repeat the same steps on HPPS due to an error, but I ultimately achieved my daily goals.

I still have a mountain of problems to solve, and my heart and mood were quite disheartened by today's thread. Nevertheless, I have a duty to live through the other days God has granted me, and to persevere and triumph within my faith.

Life is full of unexpected twists and turns (saeongjima); it's not always sunny. We grow by crying, laughing, and sometimes even by complaining and whining. Like Rachel in today's meditation. And just as God finally answered her prayer and opened her womb, I firmly believe that God will one day grant me a spouse or a new opportunity.

Yesterday, I randomly accessed my denomination's website. Seeing a map of churches and mission fields around the world, I was a little surprised to see nothing in Japan. Is it because the overall Christian population in Japan is less than 1 percent, and even among those who attend church, the percentage who truly believe in Jesus as their Savior is so low that they've given up?

So I had this absurd thought, this fantasy, of studying theology and becoming the first Japanese missionary officially sent by the denomination. Hey~ but seriously, would that really happen???
