I didn't have much to do today, so I decided to write about a small memory from a year ago.
Early March last year, I somehow got my hands on some "Lunchables". I knew it was a popular snack for kids in the US to take to school, but like most American food, it generally gets bad reviews for being "unsubstantial" and "lacking in nutritional value".
But for me, someone with a lot of curiosity and little social experience, it was just fascinating. So I decided to eat it as a meal, not just a snack. You might think it wouldn't be enough, but I can easily control my food intake if I set my mind to it.
After removing the plastic lid, I saw the rather meager contents. It was designed to be intuitive enough to eat without instructions.
I made a sandwich with the cheese and ham,
and there was also one with vanilla cream filling.
(The one in the upper right corner of the picture with the lid removed)
I was having so much fun taking pictures and carefully following the instructions that I ate it all. My mom scolded me twice for "what I was doing" and "why I didn't use chopsticks", but I finally finished it.
Oh, I forgot to mention the taste! The ham and cheese combination was a bit salty, and the vanilla cream was sweet and creamy. In short, it was a sweet and salty combination. But honestly, I ate it a year ago, so I'm not sure if I remember correctly. (I wrote about it on my Naver blog at the time, but I only briefly mentioned it without actually reviewing the taste.)
Anyway, if I get another chance to eat it, I'll make sure to follow my mom's instructions and eat it quietly(?), having left this solid evidence today.
ps: Apparently, it was originally school lunch.... I had no idea because I didn't go to school in America!
