A week ago, I thought of my alma mater and had a brief conversation on Instagram with a close church friend.

As we talked about various things, old memories came to mind, so I shared some photos that my friend, who probably wouldn't remember, had posted on Cyworld. She remembered one for sure and shared it on her story, tagging me. I, who hadn't been using Instagram stories at all, struggled with even sharing on my own story, but thankfully, it was successfully shared, and a few days passed.

I've been consistently posting stories on the Facebook page I run, but when I thought about it, it seemed like using Instagram stories would be more beneficial in the long run. The usage seemed more difficult than Facebook, but with the mentality that if everyone else can do it, surely I, who handles IT devices well, can do it too, I started using it in earnest a few days ago and have arrived at today.

I'd like to capture and show you the archive area, but I can't do that because of privacy. Anyway, what's important is that, whether it's Threads or Instagram stories, I'm so grateful to have a space where I can consistently record my daily life and thoughts. Without being concerned about reactions like views and comments.

Moreover, Instagram stories are visually more vibrant than Facebook, so I have to pay more attention and put more thought into posting stories. So, even though I'm turning forty soon, I feel relieved and fortunate that at least it seems to prevent dementia. Since it's mostly photos, I also pay more attention to taking photos than before.

However, these Instagram posts are now said to be exposed on Google as well. I'll keep my account private since I often upload selfies. Although they are a few, I'm grateful enough that there are people who genuinely empathize with and respond to my posts and photos.

Thus, my memories are piling up one by one in the archive today as well.
