While posting on a Tistory blog, I wanted a feature to zoom in on a specific part of a video, so I asked Copilot just in case. They taught me how to do it step by step through Clipchamp, and it worked!
Then, an idea came to me. Sermon shorts from the pastor uploaded every Monday or Tuesday morning. I used to upload existing videos simply by fitting them within a set ratio, but I thought it would be possible to crop the pastor's image, leaving only the center part, like a close-up, and after trying it out, it worked too.
Actually, there was talk of buying a separate camera because of this, but it seems there's no need to do that, so for now, the cost was saved. I sent the completed video to the pastor, and we had a brief call a little while ago, though he's busy.
The reason for the call was... I don't mind if he watches the video later and gives feedback, but I wanted to discuss the thumbnail for the shorts with the pastor. As far as I know, you can only use YouTube with one Google account per phone, and it's not possible to upload a thumbnail on my phone if I want to upload a separate one.
So, instead, it's better to display the title of the sermon and the Bible verse that the pastor initially suggested from the beginning to the end, instead of having them appear for only four or five seconds and then disappearing, so that the thumbnail is automatically created without having to upload a separate thumbnail, which seems to be a better option, so I wanted to get an answer.
For now, the pastor is busy and it's evening, so he said he would check the test video later and give an answer.
Anyway, all of this was possible thanks to artificial intelligence, as the title says. Plus, since Clipchamp also runs on Windows, it seems that Windows-based AI is giving detailed and accurate instructions, so there's a certain level of reliability.
I'll write again here if there are any changes, such as feedback from the pastor. It looks fine to me, but a keen eye is different.
For now, I learned something really big today. If I had known this feature earlier, I would have made and uploaded shorts videos more professionally... Well, there's nothing I can do about the ones that are already up, and there are some that have good views, so I just have to do better in the future. And actually, I don't think uploading a shorts thumbnail will necessarily get more views.
